Rick Brauchler, Jr. founded the company in the late ‘90s after having spent years as a trade carpenter working for other builders along the Connecticut River valley and shoreline. After being involved in countless projects where corners were cut to appease the general contractor, he set out to establish a company that refused to make concessions at the cost of quality.
Over the years a team of carpenters sharing these same goals and uncompromising attention to detail were selected and brought together under the umbrella of Rick Brauchler, Jr. & Co. LLC. This original group of carpenters has remained part of the team to this day, providing clients with a certain comfort level and peace of mind when they see the same faces on a job site even years after an initial meeting. Another distinguishing aspect of the company is that these carpenters are capable of working an entire project from the rough framing stage through to the meticulously crafted finish trim work, providing unmatched product continuity and sense of ownership, and avoiding reliance on outside carpentry subcontractors for each stage of a project.
In addition to this original core group of carpenters, the company has assembled a strong team of subcontractors, each well respected in their trade with whom we have worked with consistently through the years. Rather than sending out every project to bid and looking for the lowest number, our main concerns lie in the quality of the finished product and fostering that sense of ownership through long standing relationships. By having nearly the identical build team on each project, the familiarity between crews translates into a project that runs both more smoothly and efficiently as our high expectations are established and well known by everyone on site. Putting to work the skills of our entire project team, we are able to take a project from conception to final turnkey completion, which on occasion, has even included furnishing the completed space!
